  
 A niqab or niqaab refers to a type of face covering.
We first started making these half face niqabs in the 1980's. At that time as I remember the full face niqaab that is popular today was not around too much, if at all. Most sisters wore some type of half face niqaab or used their khimar to cover the face.
These half face(from the nose down) niqabs are priced the best on the market, InshaAllah and I call them starter niqabs.
This type of niqab or niqaab consists of two layers of georgette fully serged on all edges with a band of 1/4" elastic on the back sewn into the sides of the niqaab. The best part of having the elastic back is that you can pull the niqaab down and up easily especially when trying to eat or drink. There are no strings or ties to loosen and retie.
