WHAT IS KOSHIBA?
Koshiba is a polyester fabric that is very light weight.
Every year sisters ask me, where are the cotton jilbabs.
We are now making cotton jilbabs but I always mention alternatives, ie Koshiba. Why koshiba? While cotton is certainly light weight and comfortable to wear, it has some disadvantages, mainly wrinkles.
If you are in a professional environment you want to look your best. Even when we iron our cotton jilbabs, once we sit on the bus, train, plane or car, the wrinkles appear.
Koshiba is the best fabric I have found so far that is basically wash and wear and light weight for a summer jilbab.
Note: We will be adding more colors, InshaAllah.
What is an A-Line Jilbab?
We call these long jilbabs a-line jilbabs MEANING, it starts out smaller at the top and flares out wider towards the bottom creating an effect like the letter A.
The a-line jilbabs work well with all figures types and especially well for concealing bottom heavy figures.
In addition, the a-line jilbab can be worn under other over/outergarments, especially open type abayas and worn with a jacket, vest or poncho.
This style of a-line jilbab has a round neckline with a button loop closure in the back, long sleeves and inseam side pockets.
